Inspired by nature in all its wonder and trying to interpret those feelings onto pure silk, usually as wearable art such as scarves etc and sometimes simply as pictures. Each item is unique - even if I tried I couldn't duplicate the item. The dye and the silk work together in fascinating ways - I sometimes wonder if they know that I'm in charge....

papier mache:
A new venture into 3D sculpting for me - trying to capture some of the essence of a small part of the natural world. I love trying to create the feeling of a fluid object like a live and sinuous creature into a rigid piece of art without losing its identity.
