Ryan Poliak - C&G
Having initially studied Sound Engineering and Music Technology for four years, Ryan worked in Soho, London, in the music industry, before becoming interested in Blacksmithing and metal work, which led to further studies at Mid Kent, Hadlow College and West Dean.
Ryan has experienced working with the prestigious sculptors Kendra Haste and Guy Portelli, having had his work exhibited widely in Kent and Sussex, including at Pembury Hospital, Godinton House, and Ightham Mote, and in London at Gallery Different, Fitzrovia. In the Mall Galleries with the Royal Society of Marine Artists and also with the Royal Society of British Artists, plus at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea.
His bronze sculpture "Heard" was shown in the David Shepherd WAY 2016 (Wildlife Artist of the Year) exhibition in The Mall Galleries. "Sea Star" was also exhibited there, by The Royal Society of Marine Artists in 2020.
He has always been interested in art works from all disciplines, and finds design inspiration from Gothic/Medieval architecture, along with Cubist, Constructivist and Futurist styles. The Industrial Revolution and the Great Machine Age are also of major significance to his ideas for final compositions.
Aside from his metal work, Ryan is currently studying the craft of stone masonry.
